I am pleased to report that I have undertaken the FreeAgent training so I am now a FreeAgent.
It is an on- line book keeping system for a business that can be set up to link into a down load from the bank account from which accounts can be produced.
I can show you how to carry out a basic book keeping function and then use this information to produce the business accounts.
On a regular basis for management information and decision making, or on annual basis for the production of statutory accounts/annual figures and submission to Companies House/HMRC.
So it is useful for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
If you bank with NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank NI you pay bank charges but get the use of FreeAgent for free. In addition is you bank with Mettle you get free banking and FreeAgent for free.
There are various packages available Sole Trade, Partnership Landlords and Limited Companies. If you do not bank with one of the above banks, there is a monthly fee and if it is signed up through me as an Partner it is a cheaper option than going direct to FreeAgent.
With the advent of Making Tax Digital, from April 2019 for VAT and April 2024 for income tax and probably 2026 for corporation tax, it is something that businesses need to be looking into. If they do not already have an appropriate digital process.
